Privacy Policy

84 LLC ("we", "our", "the App") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and your choices — including how to download a copy of your data or permanently delete your account directly within the App.

We do not collect your phone number, contacts, photos, location, or any health or financial data. If Apple provides your name during sign-in, it is used as your default leaderboard display name and sent to our servers as your gamer tag. You can change your gamer tag to a randomly generated name at any time in Settings. Your email, if shared, is stored on our servers solely for account identification and support — it is never shared with third parties or used for marketing.

2. Sign in with Apple

84 Edges uses Sign in with Apple as the sole authentication method. Apple provides us with an anonymous identifier for your account. If you choose to share your name during sign-in, it becomes your default leaderboard display name and is visible to other players. You can switch to a randomly generated gamer tag at any time in Settings, and switch back to your real name whenever you like. If you choose to share your email, it is stored on our servers for account identification and support purposes only. We do not use it for marketing or share it with third parties.

3. Advertising

The App displays ads through Google AdMob. Ads are non-personalized — we do not use your data to target ads. You can limit ad tracking in your device's Settings under Privacy & Security → Tracking.

A "Remove Ads" option may be offered as an in-app purchase in the future.

4. In-App Purchases

All purchases are processed by Apple. We do not collect or have access to any payment or billing information.

5. Data Sharing

We share data only with the following parties, solely to operate the App:

6. Data Retention

Your account and game data are retained while your account is active. Server logs are retained in accordance with our cloud provider's default policies. You may request full account deletion at any time directly within the App (see Your Rights below).

If you have successfully redeemed a cash prize, a minimal compliance record is retained as required by applicable law (name and redemption amount only). All other personal data — gamer tag, email, puzzle progress, leaderboard entries — is still permanently deleted when you delete your account.

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

Access / Right to Know (GDPR Art. 15 · CCPA §1798.100)

You can download a copy of all personal data we hold about you directly within the App. Go to Settings → Export My Data. The App will prepare a JSON file containing your profile, all puzzle scores, and your leaderboard entries, and open the system share sheet so you can save it to Files or email it to yourself.

Deletion / Right to Erasure (GDPR Art. 17 · CCPA §1798.105)

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly within the App. Go to Settings → Delete Account and confirm. This action:

This action is irreversible. If you have previously redeemed a prize, a minimal compliance record is retained (see Data Retention above).

Correction (GDPR Art. 16)

You can update your gamer tag and country at any time in the App's Settings. To update your email address, contact us (see below).

Other Rights

8. Children's Privacy

84 Edges is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. All ads are non-personalized. Authentication requires Sign in with Apple, which is managed by a parent or guardian for child accounts.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
